Teaching Experiment Plan

The GAANN program has a focus on training students to become excellent teachers by giving us the opportunity to work with a teaching mentor before we teach our first class. Below are the goals I wish to accomplish each semester in order to be ready to teach a class.

Spring 2024 Semester

Semster 10

(1) Answer student questions in class for ITIS 4420 and ITIS 6420

(2) Teach guest lectures and lead discussions in ITIS 4420 and ITIS 6420

(3) Facilitate group activities during guest lectures 

(4) Continue developing personal website with a teaching portfolio

Fall 2023 Semester

Semster 9

(1) Answer student questions in class for ITIS 4214 and ITIS 3130

(2) Teach guest lectures and lead discussions in ITIS 4214 and ITIS 3130

(3) Facilitate group activities during guest lectures 

(4) Continue developing personal website with a teaching portfolio

Spring 2023 Semester

Semster 8

(1) Continue learning course website management system and editing course page

(2) Design student activities and assessments for ITIS 4420

(3) Answer student questions in class for ITIS 4420

(4) Teach guest lectures and lead discussions in ITIS 4420

(5) Continue developing personal website with a teaching portfolio

Fall 2022 Semester

Semster 7

(1) Continue learning course website management system and editing course page

(2) Design student activities and assessments for ITIS 4420

Fall 2019 Semester
